I had a great experience with Unique. I bought two bespoke suits which they managed to turn around in 3 days. Strong selection of great quality fabrics and they can pretty much deliver any style you want. Very competitive pricing, friendly, able to give advice and great quality tailoring. Common questions
Are these reviews real, and can I verify them?
Every one of them is a real Google review and every one links straight back to the original on Google, so you can read it in place with the reviewer’s own account attached. We do not host testimonials that exist only on this site, because a quote you cannot trace is worth nothing to a reader. The rating and count shown here match the live Google Business Profile exactly.
Why does the number of reviews matter more than the rating?
Because almost every tailor on this island shows a high rating, so the rating alone separates nobody. Depth is what is hard to fake: a large number of reviews accumulated over a long period, mentioning specific garments, specific timelines and specific staff. Read the middle of a review book rather than the top, and read the photographs people attach. That test applies to us as much as to anyone else.
Do you ever ask clients to remove a bad review?
No. If something goes wrong we would rather fix the garment than manage the review, and that is the more useful outcome for everyone including us. If you are unhappy with a fit, bring the piece back and say so plainly. Most fit complaints are correctable, and a tailor who cannot hear one is not a tailor worth using in the first place.
Can I see photographs from real clients rather than staged shots?
Yes. Clients have attached hundreds of photographs to their Google reviews, and those are the most useful images on the internet about this shop because nobody styled them. The gallery on this site shows work made here on real clients as well. If you want to see finished garments in the flesh, come into the shop and ask, and we will show you what is currently on the rail.
What do most reviews actually mention?
Three things recur: the fit after the fittings, the turnaround when someone was working against a flight, and how the service felt when something needed changing. Those are the three things that matter in practice, and they are the three worth reading for. A review that only says the experience was good tells you far less than one that says what was made and how long it took.
Should I trust a tailor with a perfect rating?
Treat it as one signal, not a verdict. A perfect rating on a small number of reviews means very little. The same rating across a large, long-running review book that names garments and timelines means considerably more. Look at how recent the reviews are as well, since a shop can change hands or change staff, and a review book that stops abruptly a year ago is telling you something.
Can I leave a review after my order?
Yes, and it helps more than you would think, particularly if you say what you had made and how long it took. Specifics are what future readers actually use. If something was not right, say that too. We would rather have an accurate review book that a visitor can rely on than a flattering one, because the flattering kind is exactly what nobody on this island can distinguish.
Do you appear on TripAdvisor as well as Google?
Yes, and both are linked from this page. Reading across two platforms is a reasonable check, because the audiences differ: Google catches more local and repeat customers while TripAdvisor skews towards visitors. If the picture is consistent across both, that is more informative than a strong showing on one. Apply the same check to any tailor you are considering here.
