Why Unique

The island's review leader — put to work for you.

Ko Samui has dozens of good tailors. What sets us apart is not a claim, it's a record: 5.0 stars across 562 reviews, more than any tailor on the island. Every suit is measured, cut and finished by the same team that earned them.

Great fabric, an honest turnaround, and a fit you'll actually wear. That's the whole promise.

Really high-quality suits. I’m from the Netherlands myself and have four weddings coming up next year. I decided to just give it a try, and the quality is truly excellent. Highly recommended

I had a great experience with Unique. I bought two bespoke suits which they managed to turn around in 3 days. Strong selection of great quality fabrics and they can pretty much deliver any style you want. Very competitive pricing, friendly, able to give advice and great quality tailoring. I had two fittings a day apart and one final check on the day of delivery. Very happy indeed with the service

Where is Unique Custom Tailor in Ko Samui?

We are at 79/7, Bo Put, Fisherman's Village, Bophut, Ko Samui — look for the red "Unique Tailor" sign on the shopfront. We are open every day from 10:00 to 23:00, so an evening visit after the beach works fine. If you are staying elsewhere on the island, you do not need to travel to us: we offer free hotel and villa pickup and in-home consultations anywhere on Ko Samui, including Chaweng, Lamai, Maenam and Choeng Mon, and we bring the fabric books with us.

How long does tailoring take in Ko Samui?

Shirts and most alterations can often be finished the same day, and bespoke suits usually take about three to five days. One client had two bespoke suits made in three days, with two fittings a day apart and a final check on the day of delivery. The honest advice is to visit on your first day rather than your last, so there is room for a proper fitting. Tell us your flight date at the first visit and we will tell you straight away what is realistic.

How much does a tailored suit or shirt cost?

We give a free, no-obligation quote for each order rather than publishing a fixed price list, because bespoke is not off-the-rack. The same cut in a house wool and in a fine imported cashmere are genuinely different garments. Four things drive every quote: the fabric, the garment (shirt versus two-piece versus three-piece or dinner suit), the construction and detailing, and how many pieces you order together. Message us on WhatsApp and we will price it in a couple of minutes. See how pricing works.

What fabrics work best for the Ko Samui heat?

Weight matters far more than colour in this climate. Tropical-weight wool, typically the high-twist open weaves around 210 to 250g, lets air move through a jacket and resists creasing in humidity. Pure linen is cooler still and ideal for beach weddings and daytime events, though it wrinkles by design. Lightweight cotton is the everyday shirt choice, and wool-linen blends sit between the two. We keep the actual bolts in the shop so you can feel each one in daylight before choosing.

Do you tailor for women too?

Yes. Unique Custom Tailor makes tailored suits, jackets, trousers, skirts and dresses to measure for women, and we also do dressmaking, restyling and alterations to pieces you already own. It is a full part of the shop rather than an afterthought, and our gallery includes women's suits and dresses made here. Bring a photo of what you have in mind or a garment that already fits you well, and we will work from it. See women's tailoring.

Can I order again after I fly home?

Yes. Once we have measured you and made something that fits, your measurements stay on file, so a repeat order does not need you back on the island. One client ordered two shirts while here, then ordered five more after returning home, choosing the fabrics over a video call and wearing the first about ten days later. We can do the same with suits and jackets and ship them to you. Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange the call.
